I went home to Vancouver from the 11th through the 20th to visit with Gaile and my family.

My timing couldn't be better; while waiting for my plane at JFK my sister calls and exclaims "My water just broke!". Great, five hour flight and still five hours before my plane even leaves.

That's right, I was there a god awful five hours early. The attempted terrorist action had occurred just two days before so I didn't want to take any chances. Total time from entering the airport to sitting down at my gate: 15 minutes. Luckily they had a decent internet connection and I was able to kill the time quite painlessly.

The trip home was incredible. So incredible I'll need to split it up over several posts.
